Saturday’s Plowboy game in Creston, Il was a good news, bad news kind of day. The good news was the Plowboys held Creston scoreless for the last five innings, the bad news was the 12 runs they scored in the first four, as the Regulators went on to defeat the Plowboys 12 to 1.  Highpoint for the Plowboys was their lone ace tallied on consecutive hits by Tom ‘Flynn’ Ruopp, Rob ‘Moose’ Baker and Antonio ‘Jackrabbit’ Bellino, a 3 for 3 day at the striking line for Steve ‘Ironhead’ South as well as a stunning defensive effort by outfielder Chad ‘Chadder’ Petersen chasing down a Regulator runner from left field for an unassisted double play.

The Plowboys are hoping to turn their luck at the next match on 7/29 as they will play host to the Midway Village Mauraders from Rockford. Home matches are held at Herrick Middle School 2 blocks south of Ogden Ave. on Saratoga.
